June 2025
Hi everyone,
Firstly a big thank you to everyone who attended classes during May. As a Monday night class, Bank Holidays are always tricky to navigate, especially in May when there are two. Even so, numbers were low on the two Tuesday classes, which isn’t ideal for anyone. So I have decided not run classes on Bank Holiday weeks from now on. This means that there will be no class in the week commencing 25th August (although we do have our freestyle on Saturday 30th August 👍)
Thanks also for everyone’s understanding in relation to the late change to the Freestyle on 23rd May. I don’t deliberately schedule dances over another operator, but would have preferred to spot my mistake a bit sooner. I’m double checking the rest of my dates to ensure no further late changes will be needed.
Fact of the month: On the 1st June 1495, Friar John Cor recorded the first known batch of Scotch whisky at Lindores Abbey, Fife, Scotland.

If you have any friends or family that have expressed an interest, then let them know about this event. Both are being held at the Arundel Football Club in Mill Road, so easily accessible with good parking nearby.

Seasonal Dance Wear
As the seasons change, so does our approach to dance attire. As we move into the warmer months, it’s essential to opt for lightweight and breathable fabrics to keep you cool during class. Look for moisture-wicking materials in your tops and bottoms to help regulate body temperature and keep you comfortable while moving.
For footwear, breathable dance shoes or trainers with a flexible sole are ideal for maximum comfort and performance. Avoid footwear with too much grip though, as that can cause strain on your knees and hips when dancing.
